Question No. 02 1 min read

How long does carpet installation take?

A typical Ottawa home carpet install finishes in one day. A two-bedroom apartment runs about three to four hours, a full main floor closer to six. Stairs add roughly thirty minutes per flight; prepping the rooms the night before keeps the day on schedule.

Larger jobs that may need a second day:

  • Whole-home installs above 2,000 sq ft
  • Subfloor repair work uncovered after old carpet comes up
  • Custom inlays, borders, or stair runners with separate trim

You can walk on freshly installed carpet right away. Heavy furniture is best left for 24 hours so seams settle.
